Our History
Roy Wolf was always a hard worker… Before he was even 14 years old he was truck driving in Iowa. We assume this must have been legal back then! Roy had family in Theresa, Wisconsin. When he turned 14 he went to live with them and began working on the family farm in Wisconsin until he was 17, and that’s where it all started. Take a trip down memory lane with us…
1938
Roy and Laura (nee: Trott) met in 1930 and were united in marriage in Hartford, Wisconsin in 1938.
1941
Roy & Laura move to Slinger, Wisconsin, where Roy became a Standard Oil agent.
1950’s
Roy's son Ed joined the business. Ed held many tasks from truck driving to burner service repair.
1962
Ed married Minette (nee: Sprehn) and they had 4 children: Linnette, Eddie (Jr.), Craig & Colette.
1970
Roy retired from the business and Ed became the new Standard Oil agent.
1976
Edward H. Wolf & Sons, became incorporated. Edward and Minette worked together to grow the business.
1986
Edward H. Wolf & Sons, Inc. corporate office moved to the Slinger, Wisconsin from Ackerville. The office was is in the once abandoned railroad depot. It was remodeled to fit the business needs.
1988
Craig Wolf finished his business degree and joined the company, at which Colette Wolf also finished her post high school education. Colette would later join the company in 1996 as part of the administrative team.
2003
Edward H. Wolf & Sons, Inc. acquired Tilot Oil in Green Bay, Wisconsin. There was also an extensive addition made to the Slinger office.
2005
The end of an era - Edward and Minette "officially" retired from the company and Craig and Colette acquired the business.
2011
Celebrating 70 years of business.
2013
E.H. Wolf & Sons acquires Hopson Oil in Waukesha, WI
2018
Craig Wolf and Colette Troeller (nee: Wolf) built two new buildings, one being the 15,000 square foot office and the other being the 31,400 square foot warehouse.
2019
Ethan Wolf (Craig’s son) and Holly Lemmer (Colette’s daughter, nee: Troeller) are officially 4th generation owners.
2021
E.H. Wolf & Sons is celebrating a successful and wonderful 80 years
in business!
