First MACC Fund Spirit Pump, raising money to fight childhood cancer!

BP/Amoco & MACC Fund has launched a new fund raising campaign in an effort to reach a $35M goal in total overall donations since the MACC Fund’s founding. This year is the MACC Fund’s 30th year of the partnership with BP!

In order to meet this goal, the spirit pump fundraising opportunity for BP & Amoco locations in Wisconsin has be developed. Participating locations will wrap one of their dispensers as pictured above, advertising the MACC Fund and the program. The total gallons sold from this dispenser will be multiplied by the amount the station owners agreed to donate. All pump graphics and wrapping will be completed by Elevate 97 out of Green Bay at a discounted rate to the stations and BP.

The first participating location to have a pump unveiled is that of the Kruepke family at East Side Mart BP in Jackson, WI.  The Kruepke Family has agreed to a $.02 per gallon to be donated out of their pocket in support of the MACC Fund for a minimum of the next 3 years!

John and Marian Kruepke with their sons Bill and Kurt opened their first c-store on March 1, 1985. The Village Mart (Amoco) is located in Jackson, WI. They worked their store from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm seven days a week till November when they hired their first employee. Over the next 25 years the business grew to 5 locations with 4 being branded BP. Three of the locations have car washes and one an oil change center.

Today John and Marian are still active in the business along with their son Kurt and daughter-in-law Annette. Two of their grandchildren, Rachel and Matthew are at the University of WI- Madison. Both help in the business as time allows.

When the opportunity presented itself to participate in the MACC Fund program they did not hesitate to say “Yes”. Two of their BP locations will have the MACC Fund imaged dispensers, one in Jackson and one in Hartford.

East Side Mart in Jackson offers gasoline (diesel and E-85), liquor, beer, coffee, soda, hot and cold food, snacks, bakery, tobacco products, ice, buffalo meat, pizza, a car wash, a laundromat, an ATM machine and much more. Stop on by and fuel up for a great cause!
